Let’s Celebrate with a Feast of Great British Produce

Sieze the day on Tuesday 24th May, come and celebrate Great British meats and wines at No2 Pound Street. This event is going to be a real treat for any foodie out there.

We have invited James Swift the producer from highly acclaimed Trealy Farm in Monmouthshire to showcase his award winning produce at the shop on the evening of Tuesday 24th May.  Trealy Farm supplies No2 Pound Street with exceptional charcuterie made using free range meat from Monmouthshire.  James is fresh from TV appearances in Market Kitchen Big Adventure and alongside Raymond Blanc in Kitchen Secrets http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00ztf1l.   Trealy Farm lists many awards for their charcuterie and meat produce including

2010 Best UK Food Producer in the Observer Food Awards

2010 Best Product in the Good Housekeeping Food Award

2010 Gold Award in the Best Beef Product Category in the True Taste Awards

2010 Finalist in the Local Food category of the Quality Food Awards

Even Raymond Blanc thinks it is time for us to recognise our home-grown talents, follow this link http://www.socialmenu.co.uk/home/2011/03/21/are-british-food-producers-now-good-enough-to-rival-the-french/.

To superbly compliment these foodie bits we will be exploring the marriage of wine with food and have selected some amazing English wines.  The wines this country is producing are winning award after award against their more established counterparts throughout the world.  It is definitely time to give them a try.

The evening will be a celebration of Great British produce and promises to be great fun.  Tickets are £15, to book your place please email shop@2poundstreet.co.uk. Or call 01296 585022.
